What are "Unbundled Legal Services?"
Unbundled legal services is a way of describing a new concept of how lawyers can represent clients in a limited manner. Traditionally, if a lawyer represented you, she was retained to manage your entire case from beginning to end. In today's legal market, more and more clients are choosing to hire a lawyer for one specific purpose and pay only for the one service provided, instead of paying a large retainer to manage an entire case.
What is Complete Case Management?
Complete Case Management describes traditional legal representation-you are choosing to hire an attorney to manage your entire case from beginning to end.
Does your office offer Unbundled Legal Services and Complete Case Management? Yes. And you may change the type of representation at any time.
Can I represent my own business in court?
This depends on the type of business entity that you have and which court you are in. If you are a sole proprietor, you may represent yourself and your business. If you are a corporation, LLC, or LLP, you must have an attorney, unless you are in small claims court.
I already have an attorney, can I change attorneys or represent myself? You may change your attorney or choose to represent yourself at any time (with the exception of certain business entities which must be represented by an attorney). If your attorney has already appeared on your behalf in court, you will need to sign a Substitution of Attorney to let the court know that you have hired someone else or that you are representing yourself. Your attorney can prepare the Substitution of Attorney for you.
What does Pro Per mean? Pro Per is a legal term which means that you are representing yourself.
What is .pro? .pro is one of the newest domain name extensions. It may only be used by licensed business professionals or business entities. In order to maintain the domain name, you must register your business license information and represent that you are a licensed professional.
